The JTR Sr. Scholarship Fund annually grants scholarship awards to accomplished, college-bound seniors graduating from Reading High School and Reading-Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center of Reading, PA.

In May of 2023, twelve RHS scholars and four RMC&TC scholars have been awarded a high-quality laptop computer and monitor as scholarship.

Since our 2003 inception, 220 scholarship recipients have received our scholarship award. Recipients are independently selected by the RHS and RMC&TC Scholarship Committees for their academic success and contribution to the life of their school.

The goal of the mentor program is to support each scholar in their pursuit of academic goals and develop expanded vision and skills for their future profession. Mentoring is a proven pathway for future success in both academic and professional settings.

Our team of mentors is comprised of Board Members and committed volunteers from a range of fields including business, communications, education, technology and non-profit.

All have decades of success and leadership experience in their fields. Scholars are matched with mentors based on common interests such as academic major and career aspiration.

Our scholarship awards are funded by supporters of our mission to help qualified scholars from Reading High and Reading Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center of Pennsylvania reach their academic and career goals.

Our scholarship recipients are emerging leaders overcoming the challenges of growing up in a city with one of the highest poverty rates in the nation.
